I took the kids out trick or treating for a little. It got a bit chilly here where we are so I didn't want to keep the little guy out too long. He was just back at the doctor yesterday for his recheck only to find that now he has an ear infection and also has crackle sounds in his chest. I didn't want him to not get to go out so we went around the block. That is plenty of candy though for a 2 yr old and he had a blast. The older kids stayed out a bit longer before calling it a night. I am trying to get my pictures uploaded to the computer but every time I try the computer crashes. Not sure yet why so I will work on getting the pics soon. Hope everyone had a great time tonight! Remember to be safe and I don't recommend letting the kids have any candy that was made in China...we actually got a few pieces and I took them from them. Rather safe than sorry in my book.

I plan to vent and whine in this post. Feel free to skip if you want.

I am so tired.....there is no menu for this week because I am too tired to do one.
I work outside the home overnight 4 nights a week and I babysit my nephew along with having my kids during the week. My wonderful hubby (ahem) who doesn't work (he is still home from a work injury 2 and a half years ago) is just getting me down. He knows I am tired and pregnant yet just seems to be so selfish. Friday night after being up with the kids all day he went to our local high school football game, leaving me with the little ones to watch. No sleep there. Then Saturday morning when I got home off he went for a day of hunting...hence again no sleep there until 1 hour before I had to be at work. Sunday I came home for a 30 minute snooze to get up and sit with kids again while he took our middle son to his final football game. I think I eventually got a little over an hour of sleep after dinner was made and cleaned up. Again I went to work. I come home this morning and off he goes out the door to hunt again leaving me with my 2 youngest and my nephew who I watch during the week while my sister works. I also had to get my daughter ready for kindergarten and drag all the ids up on this down right chilly day to the bus stop. I cannot even rest my eyes for a second...if I try Noah scrams WAKE UP MOMMY!! Ugh I am just exhausted....anyone have a pillow I can borrow in a nice quiet room??

Last night my wonderful 5 year old decided to empty her brother's toybox in the living room. Guess she had decided what I was doing this morning. I figured since all the toys were out of the box it would be a good time to slim down the contents. What I found though was shocking. Toy after toy that I picked up came from a McDonald's Happy Meal....bad bad mommy. Apparently my children eat way to many Happy Meals at lunch time when we are on the road. I will have to look into a better alternative for when we are traveling during lunch time. (which is often) Needless to say I felt the trash men would get great use of these wonderful and educational toys so I donated 95% of them to these wonderful men. We did keep the hotwheels cars and things like that. It is amazing today how the kids are playing now that they have newfound toys. (you know the ones at the bottom of the toybox)

So today I ended up taking my little guy back to his doctor. He had coughing spells all day yesterday that was making him throw up each time. HE was even good about his meds and we still had issues. So this morning after another round of coughing/puking off to the doctor we went.(FYI- empty diaper wipes containers make great portable puke buckets.) Now we are going to do nebulizer treatments and have 2 totally differnt meds to try. Let's hope these help and he cooperates because I don't know how much more of these spells either of us can take. The poor kid is just so run down from all of this. Hope you are all having a good day.

I am in need of a new cell phone and just can't decide which of these new phones I want. I really like the Lotus and am leaning toward that but I just don't know. I love the look of it though. I have a month unitl I can get a new phone so I can ponder over it a bit more. I think I will have to go to the store and check them out in person and see how I like them.


Also Today is Tackle it Tuesday.


I signed up a few weeks ago to do the CLR tackle. I did use it to clean my bathtub but alas my digital camera died and I have no pictures to share. It worked great though I must say.
I also did another tackle, I took a bunch of peppers we had grown and canned some pickled peppers.
It's been a busy day here. And we still have gymnastics tonight.

Remember I said I was having trouble getting my little guy to take his asthma meds for me. Well I found a way to get him to take them. I gave him Hershey's Kissables candy and while he was eating them he took the meds no problem for me. No screaming no shoving the aerochamber away...guess the taste of the candy overpowers whatever taste he didn't like of the meds. Now I just need to stock up on Kissables and I bet M & M's would work too. I am just glad he is taking the meds for me without the struggle.

Here is the list of things for dinner this week. I am just not 100% sure of what day I will make what.

Broccoli and Chicken casserole
Swiss Steak, mashed potatoes, green beans and biscuits
BBQ Chicken Legs, stuffing, carrots
Homemade Pizzas
Friday is Football Game night
hot dogs and fries
pork chops, buttered noodles and corn

Wow where did the week go....
I was without internet for 2 days. That really sucked because that meant my phone was out too. Took me forever then to get back online because some setting on my laptop got messed up and I was unable to network. Things are back in order though.
The Elton John concert was wonderful. I am so glad I was able to go. It really was different though compared to the "rock" concerts I have always gone to. LOL
Thursday I had to take my little guy to the docs...they are in the process of diagnosing him with asthma. He was put on 2 meds and given and aerochamber to use. Needless to say he is freaking about this. He is fine with the mask and all but doesn't like when the inhaler is put into it. So he fights and screams and probably gets nothing in him that he needs. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Remember he is only 2 and a half. I already asked the doc for meds he can take orally with his heart meds and the doc tells me there is no effective oral meds.... I am not 100% sure on that though because I know there are oral meds. So we will see.
Today I took the kids and headed to JC Penney Outlet. I like checking them out every so often and they were having a sale on infant gowns that I wanted to check on. I ended up getting a few gowns and some other newborn outfits and I got Miss Madi a few school outfits and a winter coat for school (only for school and good) and some work scrubs for me.
Now we are home and it is cleaning time and you see how into that I am....LOL. Instead I am catching up online. Hey that is important stuff too. Right?

I woke up this morning after a long weekend of sickness in our house and found out I had been the winner of a bumbo seat cover from Bridgette's site

This works out wonderful for me because the bumbo I had gotten for my youngest was in blue and I was bummed that our new little girl we are expecting would have a blue bumbo. My poor little guy is sick. He started aroung midnight pooping and puking.
He was such a trooper through it all. He was up all night being sick and is resting this morning. Seems like he got himself a case of rotavirus. Looks like I will be spending the day running around with lysol and burning my candles. We have our annual Halloween parade that goes through our town tonight but I am not sure he will be up for the festivities. Such a shame too because the weather is supposed to be very mild here this weekend.

I went to use my crockpot this morning to make my stuffed peppers today instead of Saturday because I will be out of town all day for a doctor appointment with my little guy. Well I picked it up and saw that the whole side was cracked. And all the way through too not just a little line. So now that blew out that plan for dinner. Guess it is back to sloppy joes. No they don't take all that long but after traveling an hour and a half one way to the doctors, a visit that lasts a minimum of an hour and the two hour ride home due to the evening rush hour and all with a 2yr old and 1 yr old I just didn't want to cook at all. Thank goodness I entered the crockpot contest over at A Year Of Crockpotting. I would be so lucky if I won now. Cross your finger and toes for me!

These are my favorite.

Today I decided to check out a new store. I took the half hour drive and went here. I like it better than places like Aldi because they have more name brand things. Some things were a great deal while others I could get for a similar price when on sale at my regular store. I will probably go there once a month or so to stock up on the deals I did find. Some things had expired dates on them and I will have to research that online. I am not up on what things are good for how long etc. So any advice anyone has on that topic I would love to hear from you. I figured with winter coming my oil bill will go up greatly and take away from money for other things this is just one way I wanted to see about saving more money.

And I ask myself why I buy cat food....

Today I decided it was time to put up a few Halloween decorations outside. Hubby brought down the Halloween container a week ago and I hadn't touched it. So here is a before and after picture of my tackle.
