pictures

I love this one. Too bad I didn't get any when I had them taken.

Just some pictures I had done Sunday of the little guy.

Yesterday my oldest son had a football game. Unfortunately it was an away game and an hour from home. It was not possible for me to go. Well when I picked him up and asked the score he told me 34-6 they lost but he scored the only 6 points for the team. Mind you he plays safety (well now they are going to put him as a linebacker most likely outside) and like I have probably said before isn't the best guy on the field. But the other team fumbled right in front of him and he grabbed the ball and ran. I was so happy for him and he was so happy himself. I only wish I would have been there for his first career touchdown....hence why I really do feel like crying.

GERMS

Ah the start of school always seems to bring the start of the colds and illnesses! 3 out of the 5 kiddos have a cold and I think I am starting with it now. At least the weather has broke and fallish temperatures are here. One thing I cannot stand is to have a cold in the summer heat!
I wish I had my camera right with me, I am sitting outside on my porch and my chipmunk friend is here with me. This chipmunk has no fear of me whatsoever. He comes right up on the porch and literally has run across my feet already. The first time he did it, I think I screamed but I am used to it now. Not everyday a chipmunk runs over your feet.
My oldest boy has a football game today so this afternoon we will be heading out for that. Hopefully he has a good game. The boy's heart is in the right place but he just isn't the most athletic kid in the world. He tries though and has never given up. This year he is being played more so hopefully he will become better.
Well, I am off to try and catch a few zzzz's while the little guy is snoozing. I just don't feel up to par and maybe a siesta would do me good.

School Sucks

Ok so I don't go to school but let me tell you I would rather that right now than the absurdness of our high school. Yeah the one we spent 24 million they claim remodeling the place. Ok I am sure some of the money went to all the new grass that was laid and the renovations to the fields. BUT my daughter comes home today and during our talk she informs me that they have no library at school...What the heck is that about?? I am hoping that they just don't have it finished yet....oh and that she has to buy a book this weekend....what? Oh well they are doing a theme or something in class and they need to buy a book. But only 2 people are allowed to be doing the same book. So the class asks what if 5 people come in with the same book Monday. The teacher's response (mind you already I dislike this teacher for making me buy a book, I mean come on we just bought school supplies, clothes, shoes etc and don't forget the 120 calculator they need too and now they want me to buy a book!) well he said "keep your reciepts" um hello isn't it easier to make a list and each kid write the book they plan to buy on it? Sure waste my time and gas running around buying a book that I may possibly have to return 2 days later? Needless to say I am not happy with "school" right now.

Catching Up

Wow, it has been too long since I have been here. I had tried to sit down since last weekend and write but alas, I just never had the time to finish what I started.

Going back to last weekend (Auguat 31 that would be)...our first football game of the season for our high school. We played (and won) against a rival of ours. Everyone was to come dressed in a gold shirt (our school colors are maroon and gold) and they would get a raffle ticket. Well, I went a step further and figured out how to majorly annoy my children!! I wore the opposing team's t-shirt!! Friends thought it was funny (especially since those friends play for the other team) but my family was a bit upset. Luckily my daughter had one of her cheerleading shirts in my car so I threw that on over top of the t-shirt I wore. I had a blast "flashing" all my kids friends and wearing just the t-shirt when my daughter's band played. We won the game too by the way.

My high schoolers FINALLY started school this past week on Wednesday. I am so glad! My son is getting used to being a high schooler and my daughter HATES the things they did to the school. Especially the cafe. They used to be allowed to leave the cafe area but now they won't allow anyone out for any reason. She complains how hot it is in there. Maybe if a few kids start passing out in there they will change the policy. Oh well I told her it's only 179 more days and she will be out of there forever! Speaking of my daughter she just celebrated her 17th birthday Friday. She had a football game again so we didn't have the traditional birthday cake until last night. Chocolate cake with chocolate icing....my choice not hers. Hey if I was making it I get to choose right?

My middle son had his first football game yesterday. I didn't go. I got home from work at 7am and they had to leave by 9:30 for the game. With the game being over an hour away and me being tired, knowing it was going to get HOT outside and the baby cannot tolerate the heat at all, we stayed home. His team won though and I am told he did great. Could that just be that those words came from Dad's mouth? Nah, I am sure my kid did great.

Well I feel better now that I at least wrote about a few things. I am sure I am forgetting half of the things I wanted to say but oh well.

I leave you with this lovely cell phone picture of my little guy.
