It's my BLOG and I'll cry if I want to

ah, it's been awhile since I planned oout my weekly menu. I really need to get back into the swing of things because my weekly menu all planned out at the beginning of the week makes for much less stress for me. Not to mention dinner that is on time because I am not sitting there deciding what to make.

Here is this weeks menu
Monday: HM mac and cheese with stewed tomatoes (recipe for mac n cheese from san giorgio)
Tuesday: ham and bean soup using the leftover ham I baked last week.
Wednesday: Chicken Stir Fry
Thursday: Baja Citrus porkchops, grilled potatoes and carrots
Friday: chicken nuggets and fries
Saturday: pasta of some sort
Sunday: chicken and linguine with alfredo sauce

So what do you think of the new blog look??
Yesterday not only did I make the prunes but I also made some carrots too. It seems pretty easy to make the baby food. Today I may make some applesauce with some apples we have. I just hope Morgan enjoys eating these things as much as I am making them!

I decided I wanted to try my hand at making baby food for Morg. I think it is a great way to be both frugal and healthy. Plus it will give her more variety than jarred baby food does. So today I attempted prunes....I happened to have a box of dried prunes on hand that I had gotten for Noah who decided they are gross.

First I soaked the prunes in hot water.


Then I mashed them gently as I put them in the food processor just to be sure there were not pits.


I added water from what I soaked them in and kept adding until it got the texture I wanted.

Just playing with the Picasa program....

I have been looking for a free photo editor to use on my photos. Last night I downloaded Picasa 3. I think this is the program for me, at least for now until I learn more of the editing deal...
