5 Minutes for Mom is offering 3 life sized stuffed puppies in need of good homes! My son and 2 nephews sure would love these guys! My personal fave is the German Short Haired Pointer. I have always loved these dogs and wanted one. We love all animals and would love the chance to adopt these guys! And I know my nephews would too. Every little boy needs a dog of his own to grow up with! Stop by and check out the pups up for adoption here. Which one is your favorite???
My girlfriend called me this morning. She was a bit upset, it seems there was a raccoon outside at her car. She said it was acting strange and was wondering if hubby was awake. He wasn't. She ended up calling the police who got the game commision (it is nice when they are your neighbor). Next thing I know she is calling me again saying to stay inside it was at my house. Luckily everyone was still sleeping and no one was outside. Game commission ended up shooting it after he lured it away from my house. Can't say if it was rabid but it was sick. I am just glad we had this early in the morning and none of the kids were outside playing when this creature appeared. So that was my interesting morning. Too bad I didn't get any pictures.

Ok I am bad...my new favorite blog to read is Gosselin's Without Pity. I just do not care for Kate's attitude at all. The kids are adorable but sometimes I wonder about their growing up the way they are. Anyone else watch Jon and Kate plus Eight? Care to share your thoughts???
This is another good one "Truth Breeds Hatred" written by Aunt Jodi's sister. Check them both out.
The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research – and it calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. There are walks in more than 600 communities. A typical Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall.
By teaming up with the Alzheimer's Association, you can walk with a purpose – and moves us closer to a world without Alzheimer's. Together, we can MOVE a nation.
Alzheimer's is a progressive and fatal brain disease. As many as 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer's destroys brain cells, causing problems with memory, thinking and behavior severe enough to affect work, lifelong hobbies or social life. Alzheimer’s gets worse over time, and it is fatal. Today it is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. It has no current cure.
10 warning signs of Alzheimer's:
1. Memory loss. Forgetting recently learned information is one of the most common early signs of dementia. A person begins to forget more often and is unable to recall the information later.
2. Difficulty performing familiar tasks. People with dementia often find it hard to plan or complete everyday tasks. Individuals may lose track of the steps involved in preparing a meal, placing a telephone call or playing a game.
3. Problems with language. People with Alzheimer’s disease often forget simple words or substitute unusual words, making their speech or writing hard to understand. They may be unable to find the toothbrush, for example, and instead ask for "that thing for my mouth.”
4. Disorientation to time and place. People with Alzheimer’s disease can become lost in their own neighborhood, forget where they are and how they got there, and not know how to get back home.
5. Poor or decreased judgment. Those with Alzheimer’s may dress inappropriately, wearing several layers on a warm day or little clothing in the cold. They may show poor judgment, like giving away large sums of money to telemarketers.
6. Problems with abstract thinking. Someone with Alzheimer’s disease may have unusual difficulty performing complex mental tasks, like forgetting what numbers are for and how they should be used.
7. Misplacing things. A person with Alzheimer’s disease may put things in unusual places: an iron in the freezer or a wristwatch in the sugar bowl.
8. Changes in mood or behavior. Someone with Alzheimer’s disease may show rapid mood swings – from calm to tears to anger – for no apparent reason.
9. Changes in personality. The personalities of people with dementia can change dramatically. They may become extremely confused, suspicious, fearful or dependent on a family member.
10. Loss of initiative. A person with Alzheimer’s disease may become very passive, sitting in front of the TV for hours, sleeping more than usual or not wanting to do usual activities.

Dirt Devil
Dirt Devil has a better way to save energy. The new AccuCharge Stick Vac and Hand Vac use 70% less energy – making AccuCharge the first cordless cleaning technology to earn Energy Star approval.
Dirt Devil has developed a new energy efficient, Energy Star approved line of cordless cleaning products. The AccuCharge system protects batteries from degradation, meaning a longer battery life and effective runtime throughout its life time. And it charges twice as fast now, so you won't have to wait as long in between uses. Plus, special AccuCharge Circuitry constantly monitors the unit until the charge voltage is reached and then reduces power to a trickle charge to complete and maintain the charge. This results in a reduction of energy consumption by 70%!

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th. We had rain off and on here, enough to cancel fireworks Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately now fireworks will be tonight and I have to work so we have to miss them. Oh well we had our own fireworks that we did so the kids are still pretty happy.

Toddlers and messy, stinky diapers..... they sure can tend to make a home smell a bit unpleasant. To fight against the stinky diapers in my house I rely on Renuzit TriScents.
Renuzit® TriScents™ fresheners, the newest line of electric scented oil air fresheners, gently renew your home with 3 harmonious scents in one convenient product. Available in two distinct fragrances, Seaside Breezes™ and Morning Meadow, each contains three scented oils that continuously transition throughout the day to create a longer-lasting, always enjoyable renewed scent.
With three separate settings, you can control the intensity of the fragrance delivery for as much or as little scent as they desire. Through controlled release and scent transitions, you won’t have to worry about scents disappearing, and Renuzit® TriScents™ air fresheners last up to 60 days*.
Renuzit® TriScents™ products are available at retail locations in the United States at a MSRP of $9.99 for a Starter Kit, which includes a reusable plug-in warmer and one refill unit. A refill kit retails for $4.99.
I have a Tri-Scent behind my sofa and as you walk in the front door you are greeted with the wonderful scents of Seaside Breezes. Tri-Scents does an awesome job of keeping my living room smelling fresh even with two toddler boys running around all day and making stinky diapers for me to change.
Tri-Scents is by far my favorite of these type of air fresheners. Stop by and check out the website. There are great tips and you can even print out a money saving coupon! Who doesn't love a good coupon!
