I personally took advantage of the deal because we have a very old desktop that my boys use. It still has Windows 98 on it and the disk drive doesn't read anymore. I decided that the BB laptop would be a good deal for me to replace what my boys use. I don't want to spend a fortune on a computer that will be used by a 16 and 11 year old. If you are in need of a basic use laptop stop and check it out they will go quickly!!

Little guy had his recheck today at the pediatrician's. I am happy to say he sounds 100% better according to the doctor compared to last week. He is still coughing and doc said he probably will for a few more weeks but to keep up the breathing treatments. I am just happy to hear he is sounding better.
As for me I was a bit worried about baby since yesterday. She decided I guess to take a super long nap and no matter what I did she wouldn't move. I began to worry because it had been 24 hours since I felt anything. But all of a sudden now she is awake and letting me know all is well. Whew!
Baby Girl stayed home from Kindergarten today sick with a slight fever. She rested most of the day and seems a bit better this evening. Hopefully whatever is up with her is short lived and on it's way out the door. It is only November and 60 some degrees here and we have had so much sickness already. I dread the long winter months ahead....

How I love the 5 Minutes for Mom blog. These women are amazing. Not only will they be giving prizes to their readers during their Christmas giveaway but they will be selecting several nominated families to provide gifts to families in need this year.



I think this is a wonderful thing they are doing. I can speak from experience of being one of those families in need. Back in 1998 2 weeks before Christmas our house burned down. We were lucky enough to have friends who came to our rescue. They paid for all of our Christmas gifts. I only had to provide them with a list of what my children wanted and it was taken care of. They also paid off my layaway I had and donated gift cards to us for local stores to replace the clothing and household items we lost. No words can ever explain how greatful we were and there were never enough thank you's to be said in my eyes. I am very greatful to have had such wonderful people in my life at a time of need. Red is my favorite color of leaves in the fall and this is our Japanese Maple Tree. Someone else likes the red leaves too it seems.

I know I have been slacking on my blog...with having a sick little guy and working I don't think I have really slept a full night the last 2 weeks. Hopefully he will soon be 100% better and I can get a few nights rest on my days off.
My oldest came home this weekend. The first since she left in August. It was really nice to have her around (and I didn't even make her babysit at all, lol) I took her shopping Saturday at JC Penney Outlet store to get some scrubs for her new job at the hospital. I had a 25% off coupon so it was a great deal. She even got a cute wool pea coat. The 2 little ones really enjoyed having her around too. The little guy even cried when I dropped her off at her dorm last night. It broke my heart....hopefully she comes home more often.
This morning in our paper was an article about 3 boys you can read it here. These poor boys were burned by fire yesterday. These boys are friends of my middle son and the same age. In fact he plays football with them and some are in his class in school. I feel for these parents and boys. I pray they all recover quickly and with minimal damage to their bodies. The whole thing is sad. Yes I am sure some will say things that the parents should have stayed outside etc but right now none of those things matter. All that matters is the recovery of these boys with as little trauma to them as possible. Please keep them in your prayers.
